Mr Temitope Solanke
Temitope Solanke is a seasoned chartered engineer, energy consultant, and Fellow of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (FIMarEST) with an extensive track record that encompasses about two decades in the energy industry. His expertise lies in various facets, prominently focusing on energy transition, metering & allocation, production assurance, digitalization, and automation. Having previously served as a Director at a FTSE 250 company in the UK energy sector, he now holds the position of Managing Director at Pontem Analytics Rwanda Ltd. This role puts him at the helm of a proficient team comprising high-level engineers, production chemists, and data scientists, all aligned with the mission to "bridge the gap between domain knowledge and data." Temitope is deeply passionate about production assurance, flow measurement, and ensuring uninterrupted production for oil and gas assets.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Temitope serves as an external supervisor (external/visiting lecturer) for the University of Aberdeen’s MSc degree programme in Subsea Engineering. He is also actively involved as a Director in a registered non-profit charity organization, dedicated to empowering, supporting, and fostering leadership and professional career development for both aspiring and experienced professionals.
Temitope's leadership acumen extends to roles on the boards of several non-profit organizations, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), where he served as the Technical Programmes Director for England's branch, and Golden Arena Trust, where he holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
His contributions to the industry are further highlighted by presentations at international conferences and workshops, covering a diverse range of subjects such as multiphase production technology, wax and hydrates management, flow measurement, floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG), integrated production modeling, CCS (CO2 transport modeling), and sour gas management.
