Mr Paul Junior
Paul holds a Master’s of Science in Chemistry majoring in Analytical and Environmental Chemistry gained in 2018 from University of Swaziland under the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship plan and a First Class Honours Bachelors of Science in Industrial Chemistry gained from Makerere University in 2014 under sponsorship of the Government of Uganda. He is also pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry at University of Witwatersrand under the PhD Postgraduate Merit Award.
He has participated in various professional and technical trainings in fields of Occupational Safety and Health, Fire Preparedness and Emergency Response, Environment and Social Impact Assessments, undertaking Baseline verification, compliance monitoring inspections and technical reviews for ESIAs for various oil and gas as well as mining projects and Auditing Petroleum Facilities. Other trainings undertaken include; NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety, Certificate in Monitoring Impacts of Oil and Gas Activities in Protected Areas using the un manned aircrafts /drone technology, Oil Spill Assessment and Response in Environmentally Sensitive Areas, Sound Management of Chemicals and Waste, Integrating Sensitivity Maps into National Oil Spill Preparedness and Response, and PECB ISO45001 Lead Implementer, among others.
He has a wealth of experience in environment management, industrial/ chemical laboratories work, research and academia having served in high profile private and public sector institutions.
As a result, he possesses multidisciplinary and diverse mix of skills which are critical for transformational leadership and effective service delivery. As a Senior Environment Inspector (Oil and Gas), I coordinate compliance monitoring and inspections of Petroleum Facilities, and technical reviews of Environmental and Social Impact Assessments for Oil and Gas Development Projects among others.
