Mr Mathias Katamba
Mathias is the Board Chairman of UNOC. He is a Governance, Leadership and Strategy Consultant, as well as an Executive Coach with over 25 years of high-level corporate experience. He is the Founder and Team Leader at MAKLEAD, a consulting and business advisory firm and currently serves on several Boards in multiple sectors.
He is also an accomplished Banker and has previously served as Chief Executive of 3 commercial Banks (Finance Trust Bank, Housing Finance Bank and dfcu Bank) in addition to co-founding Progression Capital Africa, an East African Financial Inclusion focused Private Equity Fund. He has in addition served as Chairman of the Bankers Association, the Institute of Bankers and the Association of Microfinance Institutions in Uganda. He is a Champion of sustainability and inclusive social economic transformation.
He has attained Advanced Executive Leadership Training from Harvard Kennedy School (Harvard University), Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania), Strathmore Business School, Lagos Business School and IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, a Master of Science in Financial Management from the University of East London and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Greenwich
