Rene Roger Tissot main professional focus is the development of local content policies and strategies in the extractive industries. Roger just completed a 3-year assignment in Saudi Arabia at KAPSARC, where he led the institute’s local content research activities. The objective was to measure the capabilities of local business in four East African countries to participate in the petroleum and gas supply chain.
Roger was responsible for the implementation of the research program coordinating all the activities with several local and regional stakeholders. Prior to that, Roger worked at EnCana – a large Canadian oil and gas company- where he led the company’s international government relations. He oversaw all the activities between government authorities and EnCana in all countries where the company had business interests.
Roger holds an M.A. in Economics from Universite Laval (Quebec) and an MBA from the University of Calgary. He also completed in 2014 his Certificate in Public Accounting (CPA).
